America in a hole

An affair that i think the United States should not have gotten into and stayed out of is when they went to war with Iraq. The president of the United states told the American people that saudam heussien was mistreating the people in Iraq by stoneing and killing many innocent people of Iraq. Congrees soon approved the presidents decision and sent American troops over to release bombs to kill Iraqs leader. American troops have now been at war with Iraq for abot three almost four years now trying to keep peace over in the middle east; and doing so we've lost almost four thousand troops. I think that we should'nt have meddled in Iraqs bussines because we wouldn't have lost troops in the line duty that family's love very much. we also shouldn't have gotten in an affair wth Iraq because America wouldn't be so much in dept as they are now because of the war in Iraq.

Unit 6: When to get involved

In certain circumstances I think its ok to get into someone's business. Because if you were not to get in anyone's bussiness you would not know what's wrong with them, or try to find a way to help them in a way their needing assistance. While attending school in charlotte North Carolina, I had this friend who was constantly getting bullied on a daily basis. I didn't know of the physical abuse my friend enduring until, one day he came into class crying. Although, I know I should have minded my own business and stayed out of his, I wanted to make sure my friend was ok. Finally after my friend kept avoiding the questions I kept asking him, he told me that a kid was bullying him, and he was scared to stand up to the kid. I went with my friend to the guidance counselor to try to get him some help so, that he wouldn't have to get bullied anymore. I am so excited that I got envolved in my friends business to be a help to him because if I had not he'd probably have gotten badly injured or worse.

I LOVE THE FALCONS!

I've learned my lesson, y'all. After watching the Atlanta Falcons dominate my Carolina Panthers on Sunday, I am finally ready to admit they are the better team. When I looked up at the scoreboard and saw that 20-13 staring at me, I had no choice it was time to face the truth.

Man, I wish Alge Crumpler played for the Panthers!

Maybe if they didn't wear girly powder blue, the Panthers may even intimidate the other team a little instead of letting the officials decide the game like the one in Atlanta earlier this season.

I think the real lesson here is that I should listen to Mr. Siegmund when it comes to football matters since he told me all along the Panthers were pretenders. I am going to go ahead and say it -- you heard it here, folks -- The Falcons are going to take out the Buccaneers this week on their way to a NFC South Championship. GO DIRTY BIRDS!!!

Maybe Mr. Siegmund will let me keep this hat since I'm tired of looking like a member of The Backstreet Boys wearing that baby blue one. . .

How i feel about rich people

Rich people are people who have an abundance of what whatever it is that they desire. Rich people have lots of money and can buy whatever they choose to buy nomatter what the cost is; theirs no limit to whaty they can buy. rich people drive the finest cars, live in the biggest houses, and has more money than the average person. Sometimes in my life i sort of envy rich people because they're not one of my family members whom i can go to and ask for anything i want and they be able to buy it no matter what the price is but them i just as happy with the average loving family that i have. Rich people have gotten their money by working for it and some has even become rich by playing reality games on t.v, or just singing, rapping, and entertaining. i sometimes think that rich people should spread their wealth amongst others, those who dont have and are less fortunate.

A Fight to Remember

When I was living in Charlotte North Carloinai had a best friend by the name of Noel. Noel went to my Elementary school while I was in the fourth and fifth grade we were the best of friends. After making the transition from elementary to middle school we were still friends but he began to change and different; as if we weren't cool anymore. Noel had gym class with me we play alot but he to take things out of proportion; like if we were playing basketball and he might give me a bad pass but if i give him a bad pass he'll get real mad like he was going to fight you. One day i finally got tired of his attitude. When we were playing basketball I made a shot and missed he got real made because i didnt pass him the ball, we started arguing while arguing i swung and hit him in his face the next thing i know we were on the ground fighting throwing punches and kicking each other. I released all my anger out while fighting i think thats the reason why I won. After being disaplined by the Principal we began to talk about our attitude geting the best of us

Assignment 1: Growing up

Growing up can be both exciting and painful; llife is not always fair there are many obstacles and troubles in life everyday. Nobodys life goes on without some kind of tragedy happening at some point of time, wheather its a break up of friendship with a best buddy, or a sad story they've read in the a magazine or newspaper, and if life cant get any painful someone you know or very close to you dies. Life can also be very exciting especially when something good happens to you. the most exciting time of year is Christmas time when everyone gets what they want that could be an exciting time in our life, but a painful time comes when you know that many people around the world couldn't afford to get anything for that time of year and it hurts you to know that.

Assignment 7: give me liberty or give me death

1. I learned from the document i read that patrick henry was the son of John and sarah henry two people who played a role in the revolutionary era. Henry was a symbol of Americas struggle for liberty and self-government. Patrick was a lawyer who was very good in politics and was a strong believer in the rights of citizens to bear arms; to have guns. Henry fought for this cause, he wanted rights for the people and their freedom. Henrys powerful words and most memoriable words were "Give me liberty or give me death"

2. The thing that surprised me the most about what i read was that because of Patrick henrys actions had something to do with the british march on on concord and it is to be said that; that was the beginning of the American Revolution.

Assignment 1:preview reflection

1. 1. protection
2. laws
3. rights
4 .assistance
5. healthcare

2. I would be ready to join a revolution if our government was not fulfilling their duties and responsibility's of the people. If they stop the police force the world would be terrible because many people would do stuff illegal because they know they would be able to get away with it. If the government didnt make laws the people would do as they pleased with no limit to it. I would join a revolution to fight for my rights and the right of others so that i know tha maybe someday they will have rights that i fought for them to have.

Assignment 8

If i had the oppurtunity to trade spots with those of the 18th century i probably would for a day or two because they had a well ordered family and they things in a way thats not found being done in the 21st century. the familys were very close bound. Most of the children were home schooled and they were very respectful to their parents. i would make the trade also because they farmed alot and i always wanted to know how to farm and look after the cattle. I probably wouldnt want to be a certain perticular person that was in the 18th century because it would be hard to choose seeing that all of them did something special.

Assignment 7

1. I learned that life in the colonies were set in order that there was alot of love for each other between husband and wife. I learned that the wife had to give great respect towards her husband, and to also reverence him, and to support him. I also that the husband has to and show loving kindness towards his wife because she is his his help mate. Husband and wife have to love and respect one another and to halp each other through all obstacles.
2. Notyhing about the reading passage surprised me because as growing up i learned most of what i read in church. i learned very similar to the passage a well ordered family.

Moving to a new place

1. I think what motivates immigrants to come to the united states is to have a better life for themselves and their family. When they come to the united states its because they were having some hardship where they were. The united states being more richer than other countries and more resourceful they come here to have a better life, better jobs, housing, friends and much more. When immigrants come to America most of them leave behind family and friends until they can find work to go and get the rest of there family members.

2. If i were to immigrate somewhere it would be for Economic reasons because you are going to need a good stable job to have money to provide for yourself and your family. If your family have what they need they probably wouldn't care much about there freedom for just a certain amount of time. I think wherever you go you are going to have questions of whether or not your being granted your rights of freedom. You will always have someone to tell you how to live and how to do certain things with you life.

First Impressions

My first impression about the blog was I thought it was a web page that we go to and get our class work off of that the teacher posts on there. I think its a great way to post comments and also ask questions and talk to friends that are taking the same lesson that you are. Im really excited about customizing a blog so that i may ask and answer questions related to U.S history.
